Lavender Oak Vineyard

Lavender Oak Vineyard

Lavender Oak Vineyard is our center for growing and gathering. Fruit is grown here, ancient oaks are grown here, grapes for our vintage are grown here, and our children have grown here too. Loved ones gather here for the holidays, friends & family gather here for harvest, and people from all over gather here for weddings & events. We are a family run operation. This means all wines are made on our estate with special attention to organic methods; no pesticides, herbicides, or harmful chemicals. From harvest to bottling & labeling, each bottle is delicately and meticulously composed; a labor of LOV; a product of all the gathering and growing that happens here; an artifact that we are so fortunate to share with you.

After close study of the soil and climate, we were able to determine the ideal grape variety for each segment of our land. The conditions most closely aligned with the right bank Bordeaux style red wine, and travels to the Pomerol and Saint Emilion regions established this would be our signature estate product. But while the reds from our estate are still in the barrels, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to make a small, artisanal batch of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Santa Rita Hills.

The 2013 vintage is sourced from the prime Santa Rita Hills AVA location, just down the road at Sanford & Benedict Vineyard in the cool Western End of the Santa Ynez Valley. The vines, planted in 1972, are mature and non-irrigated, bringing a concentration of aromas, flavors, and character akin to European wines. These wines are now available in limited release. The first release of our estate right bank blend red wine is anticipated in late 2018.
